Utrojjah Institute was founded in 2021 with a clear mission: to teach the Holy Quran, Arabic Language, and Islamic Studies to non-Arabic-speaking Muslims around the world.
Our founders are graduates of Al-Azhar University — one of the world's most respected Islamic institutions — where they studied from a young age, following in the footsteps of their fathers who were distinguished Al-Azhar scholars. Both founders memorized the Quran at an early age and grew up in an authentic Al-Azhar environment.
This deep sense of responsibility inspired us to establish Utrojjah Institute, connecting Muslim families worldwide with qualified, experienced Arab tutors.

Co-Founder & Director · Civil Engineer & Quran EducatorA graduate of Al-Azhar University who memorized the Holy Quran from an early age. Raised in an authentic Al-Azhar scholarly environment, with his father being a distinguished Al-Azhar scholar.
His unique combination of engineering precision and deep Quranic knowledge drives the institute's commitment to structured, effective Islamic education.
Shorouk Mohamed
Co-Founder & Lead Educator · Quran & Arabic Language SpecialistA graduate of Al-Azhar University and a Quran teacher who memorized the Holy Quran at a young age. Her father is also a distinguished Al-Azhar scholar, giving her a deeply rooted Islamic education.
She leads the academic program at Utrojjah Institute, personally overseeing tutor selection and ensuring the highest standards of Quranic teaching.
How We Choose Every Tutor
Our 25+ qualified, experienced native Arab tutors each go through the same four steps before they teach a single student. Most of them have memorized the complete Quran and hold an ijazah in the Quran.
1. Recitation Test
Every tutor is tested on their Quran recitation before being accepted.
2. Personal Interview
We interview each tutor personally to assess knowledge, character and teaching approach.
3. Trial Class with a Founder
Each tutor teaches a trial class with one of our founders before joining a student.
4. Ongoing Quality Follow-Up
We review teaching quality regularly, so families can count on consistent standards.
